Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet event, which was held on Friday, July 5, was a star-studded affair attended by top names from the entertainment, sports and politics industry. Apart from the stars who showed off their stylish best, the Ambani ladies – Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Shloka Ambani and Radhika – sported a number of looks on the night. While all the looks are iconic, Shloka’s is an ensemble inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan ensemble that is winning hearts.

One of the many looks Shloka Ambani sported at her brother-in-law Anant Ambani and sister-in-law-to-be Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony was a peach-coloured lehenga inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan look for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. While Kareena’s look featured a sleeveless backless blouse, Shloka’s cropped blouse had a jewelled one-shoulder neckline and a backless design. Her look featured Resham and sequin embroidery, and butterfly-embellished tassels at the hem.
Shloka wore the blouse with a matching floor-length lehenga skirt that featured an A-line silhouette, floral Resham embroidery and peach sequin embellishments. She completed the ensemble with a matching embroidered dupatta adorned with tassels and Resham work. She accessorised the look with lavish jewellery, which included a diamond necklace, dangling earrings, kadhas, bangles and statement rings. Her glamorous look included black eyeliner, kohl-lined eyes, mascara, berry-hued lips and a ponytail for her locks.
Diya Mehta Jatia and Manish Malhotra shared Shloka’s look and details about it on their Instagram. They captioned the post: “lHow COOL! While conceptualizing the sangeet look, we wanted something fun, chic and ‘iconic’. After several rounds of discussions, we thought of digging into the archives and recreated @manishmalhotra05’s original ‘bole chudiyan’ look. It was a blast!!!“
Reacting to the post, Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Bole Chudiyaaan (rainbow and pink heart emojis). @shloka11 you look beautiful.”
Anant and Radhika’s Wedding
The wedding ceremonies of Anant and Radhika will begin on July 12. The first ceremony of the three-day-long festivities will be the auspicious Shubh Vivah, for which the dress code is traditional Indian. July 13 is the Shubh Aashirwad, and the dress code for the same is formal Indian. The wedding festivities will conclude on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception. The dress code for this event is elegant Indian style. All these functions will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC.
