All you need to know about Delhi Airport’s new immigration programme for eligible passengers

Indira Gandhi International Airport recently introduced an expedited immigration program for certain passengers at Terminal 3. The Trusted Traveler-Expedited Immigration Program (FTI-TTP) is designed to reduce the waiting period for frequent and trusted travelers during international travel.

The programme is expected to reduce the immigration process from 15-20 minutes to a few seconds. The FTI-TTP programme will be rolled out in other cities as well in the coming months. Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Cochin, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad will implement the programme on a priority basis, according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Key details about the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveler Program (FTI-TTP)

  • This program is only verified for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.

  • The process at Delhi T3 airport works with biometric technology that helps immigration both on arrival and departure.

  • FTI-TTP eligible passengers may also choose to skip the standard immigration queues and use the automatic electronic gates.

  • 18,400 passengers have already used the new fast track programme.

  • Indian passport holders and OCI card holders can register to participate in https://ftittp.mha.gov.in/fti/

  • All applications are verified by the Immigration Office and added to the “White List” of trusted travelers by the immigration authority.

  • Selected applicants will be required to meet for biometric data collection at the Regional Foreigners Registration Office or at the nearest international airport.
