Ashoka University Placements: Highest Salary Package of Rs 35 Lakhs Recorded

Ashoka University has recorded a strong placement result for the academic year 2023-24. This year, the highest salary package offered was Rs 35 lakhs, and the average package was Rs 10.7 lakhs. Of the total placed students, about 47% had received financial assistance to continue their education at the university.

Around 18% of the students were placed in the consulting sector, followed by EdTech/Education (16%), BFSI (15%), Development (14%), Media & Advertising (9%), FMCG & Consumer Goods (7%), among others. Notably, INR 20 lakh was offered as the highest package in the Development sector.

Notable recruiters include Mckinsey & Company, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Accenture, Genpact, Flipkart, HSBC, Pidilite, Marico, TATA AIG, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Adobe and Michael Page.

“Another excellent year of internships at Ashoka Campus, spanning a wide range of sectors, is a testament to the University’s emphasis on multidisciplinary and inclusive education. It reflects the capability of our students, who are well equipped with 21st century skills such as problem-solving, creativity and communication. We look forward to these young leaders continuing to make their mark and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation,” said Somak Raychaudhury, Vice-Chancellor, Ashoka University.

On preparing students for internships, Priyanka Chandhok, Vice President, Ashoka University’s Career Development Office, said, “To ensure a successful transition from campus to the workplace, the university’s Career Readiness Program has ensured that students are provided with the right tools. This includes customized boot camps for specific career paths, industry-specific sessions, personalized resume writing support, and mock interviews, among other interventions. We also have a robust internship program to ensure that students get early exposure to life beyond campus.”

Around 355 students opted to undertake on-campus internships this year, including those from undergraduate (third year), Ashoka Scholar Programme (fourth year), Young India Fellowship and postgraduate programme.
