Bhopal students protest against disciplinary measures at school ahead of Teachers’ Day (representative image)

Bhopal:Students of Sarojini Naidu Girls Higher Secondary School have staged a protest against a newly appointed teacher. Many students have gathered on the campus and are shouting slogans demanding action against her. The students are protesting against their new teacher, Varsha Jha, who joined the school a month ago.
The students vandalised the premises and broke the doors and windows, the fan and light tubes. The new teacher Varsha Jha is said to be retired from the army and is supposed to look after the arrangements of the school. However, the students have alleged that the teacher asks them to cut the grass, makes them stand outside in the sun if someone comes five minutes late, cleans the bathroom and collects the garbage. The students also raised the issue of irregularities in the school and lack of basic infrastructure like drinking water and clean toilets.
The accused teacher, Varsha Jha, explained that all these rules were set by the school management. However, she has reportedly apologised.
Student protest In Uttar Pradesh
Activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Sant Vinoba postgraduate unit staged a protest against the irregularities prevailing in the college. Following this, an eight-point memorandum was submitted to the college administration. The protesters claim that the college administration is showing negligence and delay in resolving the problems of the students.
