What information must be submitted by any pensioner to generate Jeevan Pramaan?
The pensioner has to provide Aadhaar number, name, mobile number and self-declared pension related information like PPO number, pension account number, bank details, name of PSA, PDA etc. The pensioner must also provide their biometric data, either Iris or fingerprint. Currently, only the fingerprint option is available through IPPB.
Is Aadhaar number mandatory to generate Jeevan Pramaan or DLC?
Yes. Aadhaar or VID number is essential to generate/obtain Jeevan Pramaan.
Is it necessary for a pensioner to submit the Jeevan Pramaan or DLC to his bank/post office etc.?
No. The pensioner does not have to present the DLC to the bank/post office/PDA. The DLC will automatically be available to them in electronic format.
In case a pensioner receives an SMS on his mobile regarding rejection of Jeevan Pramaan or DLC, what is the process to generate and issue the life certificate?
Jeevan Pramaan is rejected in case the pensioner provides incorrect details while generating the DLC. It is recommended to generate a new Jeevan Pramaan i.e. Pramaan-ID by providing all the correct information and biometric data. If the problem persists, it is suggested to contact the respective PDA.
