Coldplay are set to surpass Taylor Swift’s record next year, with a groundbreaking ten-night performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The band initially announced six shows in August, but due to “phenomenal demand” during a fan-only pre-sale Thursday morning, they added four more shows in September.
Ticketing
General ticket sales open at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, with prices starting at €20 (plus fees). Unlike many acts, the British band has chosen not to implement Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model, which adjusts ticket prices based on demand. Instead, all prices will remain fixed at the advertised rate.
Following huge demand during pre-sales, Coldplay announced their ninth and tenth shows at Wembley for September 7-8, 2025.
The 2025 tour is in support of their tenth album Moon Music, which is scheduled for release on October 4. Coldplay will also perform two nights at Hull’s Craven Park stadium, where 50% of tickets will be reserved for local residents in designated postcodes. Additionally, 10% of the profits will go to the Music Venue Trust, which helps grassroots music venues across the UK.
Chris Martin has hinted that this upcoming album could mark a turning point for the band’s future. While he previously suggested their “last proper record” would be released in 2025, he later clarified that Coldplay have plans for two more albums. “We’re going to make 12 albums,” he said. “It’s amazing and I love it, but it’s also very intense.”
The 10-night tour will secure Coldplay the record for the most performances at Wembley in a single year, surpassing the previous record of eight nights, held by both Taylor Swift and Take That. Coldplay’s six nights in 2022 also cemented their place in Wembley history.
The band continues to prioritize sustainability and announced earlier this year that they had achieved a 59% reduction in carbon emissions compared to their previous world tour. Additionally, to counter rising ticket costs, Coldplay have introduced ‘Infinity Tickets’ worth £20 for each show. Sold in pairs, these tickets allow fans to sit anywhere in the venue, including the front seats.
