An HCLTech employee died after suffering cardiac arrest at the company’s office in Nagpur city, and the IT specialist shared that he received emergency care at the campus clinic before being rushed to the hospital.

According to police, Nitin Edwin Michael (40), who worked as a senior analyst, was found unconscious after entering the bathroom of the office of HCL Technologies Ltd. in Mihan area of ​​the city around 7 pm on Friday. .

His colleagues rushed him to the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, an official at the Sonegaon police station said on Sunday.

Police sent the body for autopsy and registered a case of accidental death.

Initial autopsy results indicated that Michael died of cardiac arrest, the official said, adding that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Michael is survived by his wife and six-year-old son, according to police.

HCLTech called Michael’s death an unfortunate incident and a tragic loss and said he received emergency medical assistance at the campus clinic and was rushed to the hospital.
