The newly released 2024 Hurun India U35 the list includes sons and daughters of traditionally wealthy corporations; at the same time, it also features first-time entrepreneurs and startups like Alakh Pandey, founder of the educational technology startup. Wallah PhysicsNishanth KS of Pocket FM, Vidit Aatrey of Meesho, Tarun Mehta of Ather Energy and Ghazal Alagh of Mother Earth.
2024 hurun The India Under35s list believes that each of the entrepreneurs under 35 have created businesses valued at around $10 million. While the more experienced cohort of under 35s have companies valued at around $50 million, with some reaching valuations of up to 100 times that amount.
Among the notable names on the list are Isha Ambani, non-executive director of Reliance Retail, Reliance Jio Infocomm chairman Akash Ambani, Encore Healthcare director Anjali Merchant, they are the new generation of corporate India.
Topping the list is Ankush Sachdeva, 31, co-founder of ShareChat. New Delhi-based Sachdeva represents the new wave of digital entrepreneurs in India and has created a platform that specifically caters to regional language users.
With a user base of millions, ShareChat has carved a niche for itself in India’s competitive social media space.

Joining him is Neetish Sarda, 31, founder of Smartworks, who has secured a spot on the list as founder of the fast-growing company in the real estate and coworking sectors. The list also includes Alakh Pandey, 32, founder of popular educational platform Physics Wallah, who is a leading name in online learning in India.
Pandey is a first-generation entrepreneur who created Physics Wallah from scratch. He transformed the startup into one of the most recognized and successful brands in the educational technology space. Physics Wallah’s success is attributed to its affordable courses and high-quality education.
Another notable name on the list is Ghazal Alagh, 35, co-founder of Mamaearth, a skincare brand recognized as the fastest growing brand in natural and toxin-free products.
In the e-commerce space, Rishi Raj Rathore of Arzooo and Raghav Bagai of Sociowash are prominent names.
While Rathore has redefined the retail sector by helping small stores compete with e-commerce giants, Bagai has made Sociowash a go-to digital marketing agency for brands looking to build a strong social media presence and a brand identity.
Roman Saini and Hemesh Singh, both 33, of Delhi-based edtech Unacademy, are also on the list. Started with the aim of providing quality education to all, Unacademy has grown into one of the largest learning platforms in India.
With entrepreneurs from 41 Indian cities, first-generation founders make up a staggering 82 percent of Hurun’s roster. Bengaluru and Mumbai top the overall list with 29 and 26 entrepreneurs, respectively, belonging to these two cities.
