1. Outline of Uttarakhand Polyhouse

As we told you, Uttarakhand is a hilly region where the government has started the Uttarakhand Polyhouse Scheme with an aim to increase the income of farmers. Under this scheme, polyhouses will be constructed for off-season crop production so that when there is demand for off-season crops, farmers can easily increase their income by producing them.

With the help of these polyhouses, farmers can grow any crop in any season and earn more income as per their demand. The government will provide 70% subsidy for setting up polyhouses under this scheme so that farmers do not have to bear the financial burden of polyhouses.

2. Free Uttarakhand Laptop Software

In order to connect the students with modern education, the Uttarakhand state government has started the Uttarakhand Free Laptop Scheme. Under which free laptops will be provided to the best performing meritorious students in classes 10 and 12. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to those talented students who are unable to purchase a laptop due to their weak financial condition and who have scored above 80% marks, so that the students can purchase the laptops themselves.

3. Uttarakhand Devbhumi Udyamita Yojana

The Uttarakhand Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Scheme was approved by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand State, Pushkar Singh Dhami in the cabinet meeting held on 24th August 2023, under which the government has decided to provide entrepreneurship training and skill development to the students studying in colleges and universities. Along with this, motivating them to set up self-employment is also another main objective of this scheme. Under this scheme, the government will provide free training and every year 3,000 students will get a chance to avail this scheme.

4. Lakhpati Didi Yojana

Taking a major step in the development of women, the Uttarakhand state government has started Lakhpati Didi Yojana under which the government will provide interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh to 125,000 women associated with self-help groups to start their own business. The government aims to increase the annual income of these women beneficiaries to Rs 1 lakh so that they can become self-reliant and meet their needs on their own. Apart from this, under this scheme, the women were also provided with training, technical guidance and facilities for selling products.

5. Uttarakhand Pashu Sakhi Yojana

To provide economic strength to rural women, the Uttarakhand state government has initiated the Pashu Sakhi Scheme under which women will be selected as Pashu Sakhi. The job of these animal friends will be to take proper care of all the animals in the village. This will protect the animals from the farmers and also provide economic strength to the rural women. The government will provide them with a fixed salary.

6. Chief Minister Sashakt Behna Utsav Yojana

Chief Minister Sashakt Brahm Utsav Yojana in the state has been implemented for women. Women manufacturing different types of products will get a chance to earn more profits under this scheme by selling the products in the wider market. Women can create a distinctive identity for their products by being a part of this scheme. Under the scheme, the government will take steps so that local products manufactured by women can be marketed through exhibitions at public places and earn good profits.

7. Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana

Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana was launched under the Department of Cooperatives of Uttarakhand State under which the state government will provide each woman in the livestock family with a tool kit comprising two hoes, two sickles, a water bottle and a tiffin. In addition, nutritious fodder will be supplied to the animals in remote rural hilly areas and packaged silage and total mixed ration will be allotted to the livestock farmers.

8. Inter-caste and inter-religious marriage scheme

The inter-caste and inter-religious marriage scheme is a major one among the government schemes being implemented in the state of Uttarakhand, under which the government is trying to eliminate caste discrimination. Under this scheme, if a boy or girl of one religion marries into another religion, he or she will get a reward of Rs 50,000.

9. Atal Awas Yojana

Atal Awas Yojana also occupies an important place in the Uttarakhand government’s scheme under which the government will transfer subsidies for construction of pucca houses to homeless families from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes living in rural areas.
