MakeMyTrip Partners with 10 Airlines for Big Discounts on Business Class Travel Abroad

In a bid to meet the increased demand for international business class flying experiences, MakeMyTrip announced on Friday that it will bring together 10 international airlines including Qantas, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines to offer a 20 per cent discount on business class fares.

Apart from the three airlines mentioned above, Air India, Air India Express, Oman Air, Air Astana, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Vistara will also be part of the initiative.

Additionally, the Gurgaon-based company has partnered with ICICI Bank to provide an additional discount of Rs 10,000 for ICICI Bank cardholders from September 27 to October 2, during the day dedicated business class partyhe said in a press release.

“We are delighted that the travel ecosystem increasingly considers us the platform of choice for premium travelers. We have introduced several new features and initiatives to enhance our customers’ travel experience and will continue to offer more such offers in the coming months as well,” said Saujanya Shrivastava, Chief Operating Officer, Flights, Holidays & Gulf, MakeMyTrip.

The online travel company noted that this push to boost business class travel builds on MakeMyTrip’s recent launch of a dedicated business class funnel for international flights.

“The Indian traveler is evolving rapidly and seeks the best at every stage of their journey. With the launch of initiatives like Business Class Fest, we aim to make premium experiences accessible and rewarding,” Shrivastava added. Decisions come in the light of MakeMyTrip How Indians travel abroad report, which notes that there has been a 10 percent increase in searches for international business class flights between 2023 and 2024. Traditionally associated with long-haul destinations such as the United States and the United Kingdom, the report shows a new trend that is extends to shorter routes. including destinations such as Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
