The result of Mumbai University Senate Election 2024 is expected to be released soon. Counting is underway for Senate or varsity student union elections. The counting of 10 Mumbai University Senate seats began early today morning. The vote took place on September 22 and the recount was delayed by court order. The main candidates in the race for the seats are Yuva Sena, backed by Aditya Thackeray, and the student wing of the BJP – ABVP – Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarti Parishad. On election day, a total turnout of 55 percent was recorded. The results are expected to be available later this afternoon. In the early trends, Yuva Sena was neck and neck with the ABVP candidates. This year’s Mumbai University Senate elections will be held after a long gap. During the last two years the elections have been postponed for various reasons.
