The train began its journey from New Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station on Wednesday and was stopped by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) CEO Sushma Arora and CEO Rajendra Singh Shekhawat. The train had a total of 32 passengers, including 5 travelers each from the United Kingdom and the United States, two from Singapore, Spain and Australia, 1 from Poland, 1 from Ukraine and Sri Lanka, and 12 from India.

Talking to ANI, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) CEO Sushma Arora expressed her delight as the Palace of Wheels began its royal journey. He mentioned, “It is a moment of joy for all of us as ‘Palace of Wheels’, which is the Pride of Rajasthan, as it is all set to begin its first journey of this tourist season.”

The 8-day train journey starts from Delhi and covers tourist destinations of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, before returning to Delhi. For those who want to reserve a ticket for ‘Palace on Wheels’, you will find ticket prices and other booking details here.

The price of the ticket depends on the different seasons according to demand and the different occupancy categories. The duration between October and March is considered the peak season for luxury train due to favorable weather in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
