Suyesha Savant’s post sparked outrage and concern among other travelers. On Saturday, Air India revealed that it had raised the issue with the catering service provider for further investigation and assured that they would take necessary steps to prevent such cases from recurring in the future, PTI reported.
“We are aware of a social media post by a passenger about a foreign object in the in-flight food offered to them on AI 101 operating from DEL to JFK on September 17, 2024. Air India works with caterers of reputed airlines supplying major airlines globally and have strict standard operating procedures and multiple checks to ensure the quality of meals served to our guests,” Air India spokesperson said in a statement.
“We are concerned about the customer experience in such a case and have spoken to our catering service provider to investigate this further. We will take necessary measures to prevent such cases from recurring in the future,” the statement added.
