NEET UG counseling process is underway for admission in MBBS and BDS courses. Meanwhile, MCC i.e. Medical Counseling Committee has granted permission to NEET UG candidates who were allotted seats in round 1 and 2 of counselling, to vacate their seats. MCC is issuing a notice that medical candidates can resign from their positions until October 1. The guidance committee has made this decision after considering the continuous requests from many students.
“For the information of all candidates, it is reported that applications are being received from UG candidates who wish to give up their Round 1 or Round 2 seats for various reasons,” the MCC said in the official statement. In this regard, the competent authority has decided to allow the resignation of these candidates. Candidates wishing to vacate their Round 1 or Round 2 seats may do so until 5 pm on October 1, 2024.
MCC issued guidelines on vacating the seat.
– Round 1 candidates who have not been promoted to Round 2 can vacate their seats within the seat abandonment deadline without losing the security amount.
– Those Round 2 candidates who were allocated a seat and also joined the seat, but now want to leave the seat, will be able to leave it vacant by losing security within the time limit.
– Those candidates who were promoted in Round 2 and joined the upgraded position, but now want to leave their position, can do so by forfeiting the security amount.
-Candidates must physically appear at the assigned university to vacate their seats.
Candidates are advised to ensure that their post resignation letter is prepared online (from MCC portal) by their assigned university; Otherwise, the resignation letter will be considered invalid.
The MCC NEET UG Round 2 seat allotment result came on 19 September. The last date to appear at the assigned universities is September 27. The counseling schedule was revised after addition of new MBBS and BDS posts in the post matrix.
