Last date for registration for JNVST class 6 2024: Tomorrow, September 23, is the last date of registration for admission in class 6 of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV). So, if you have not registered yet, you will have to go to the official website navodaya.gov.in now. Apart from this, the admission forms for admission in class 6 are also available on cbseitms.nic.in. Earlier, the last date of application was September 16, which has been extended to September 23, 2024.
Let us tell you that if you want to get admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, you will have to fill the online application form. There are many qualifications that are mandatory to get admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Ratings-
1. Students will be admitted in the same Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which is available in their district. Students will also be required to produce the residence certificate to fill the admission form.
2. For admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6, it is necessary that the student must have studied Classes 3, 4 and 5 from any Government School or Government Aided School or any recognized school and along with this the student must have passed Class 3, 4 and 5. It is necessary.
3. Students will be given only one chance to appear for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination.
4. 75 per cent of the seats in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are reserved for children from rural areas. Admission to the remaining 25 per cent seats will be given to children from both urban and rural areas on the basis of merit.
5. To access under rural quota, it is necessary that the student has passed courses 3, 4 and 5 of any public or government-subsidized school or any recognized school in his/her rural district.
6. All students who have completed grades 3, 4 and 5 of any urban public school or government-aided school or any recognized school will be considered to be from the urban area.

Let us tell you that admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will be done on the basis of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Screening Test (JNVST).
Selection process-
The entrance exam will be conducted in two phases. The first phase exam will be held on January 18, 2025. The second phase exam will be held on April 12, 2025.
The locations where the exam will be conducted in the first phase include Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II and Samba), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Dibang Valley and the districts of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti and in the districts of Shimla, Darjeeling district in West Bengal and the districts of Leh and Kargil in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The second phase of the exam will be conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (except Dibang Valley and Tawang districts), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti and Shimla districts Except) Jammu and Kashmir (only for Jammu-I, Jammu-II and Samba) Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal (to be conducted in Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry (except Darjeeling).
Candidates will be given 2 hours for the entrance examination. The examination timing for both phases is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. There will be three sections in the entrance examination question paper and objective type questions will be asked. Candidates will be asked 80 questions, the total marks of which will be 100. The result of the entrance examination is likely to be declared in March 2025 for the Summer JNV (Phase 2 examination) and in May 2025 for the Winter JNV (Phase 1 examination).
