7 / 10No 6. Profits on Forex | Tourism is a major source of foreign exchange earnings for India. Forex profits in the January-June period amounted to $15,339 million. This was 17.62 percent more compared to the same period in 2023. But the latest figure was just 5.54 percent more compared to the $14.534 billion earned in the first half of 2019. 9 / 10No 8. Where did the Indians start from? Delhi was the largest port of departure for Indian citizens, accounting for 24.35 per cent of the traffic. Mumbai was second on the list with 20.09 per cent of the departures. Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad occupied the remaining three spots.
