Wipro selected by John Lewis Partnership to transform and modernise IT infrastructure

On Thursday (August 22), the IT services company Wipro Ltd said it has been selected by the John Lewis Partnership (JLP) to lead a comprehensive transformation and modernisation of the UK retailer’s IT infrastructure.

The partnership aims to enhance JLP’s industrial leadership and equip the company with a future-proof technological framework designed to support sustainable growth.

“The transformation project will help the UK retailer advance its industry leadership and future-proof its business to drive continued, sustainable growth,” according to a filing with the stock exchange.

The company said that as part of this commitment, Wipro FullStride Cloud will extend JLP’s current cloud infrastructure, network and end-user services for another four years.

Wipro FullStride Cloud team will collaborate with JLP and Google Cloud on a strategic transformation of their X86 platform to the cloud, enabling them to unlock new business value by making them more agile, optimizing operational costs and streamlining business operations.

As part of this engagement, Wipro and JLP will explore the adoption of innovative solutions that continue to strengthen their industry leadership and place the retailer at the forefront of retail technology and store modernization.
