SSC MTS: The Staff Selection Commission has started releasing the application status of the applicants ahead of the release of the MTS admit card and Havildar Recruitment Exam 2024. Candidates can check whether their application has been accepted or rejected by visiting the SSC regional website. At present, SSC Eastern Region and Karnataka Region have released the application status of SSC MTS Havildar Recruitment on their website. It will soon be released on the websites of other regions as well. The admit cards for the exam might be released next week. The SSC MTS Havildar Recruitment Exam will be held between September 30 and November 14, 2024. This time, a record of more than 57 lakh applications were received for the vacant posts of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Ministries and Departments of the Central Government and Havildar posts in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Central Narcotics Bureau. The number of positions advertised in 2024 is 9,583, for which 57,44,713 candidates have applied. On average, 595 unemployed people are in the running for each position.

This exam will be conducted in two sessions. Both the sessions will be held on the same day. The first session will be of Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning and Problem Solving Ability. There will be 20-20 questions of 60-60 marks in both Reasoning and Maths. That means a total of 40 questions will be from Reasoning Maths. Session 1 will be qualifying only. General category candidates will have to score only 30 per cent marks in this i.e. they will have to get only 12 questions correct out of 40. OBC and EWS will have to solve only 10 questions and SC/ST will have to solve only 8 questions. There will be no negative marking in this session.

Session 2 will open immediately after the end of Session 1 of 45 minutes duration. This will also be of 45 minutes. In this session, questions from General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension will be asked. 25 questions each from General Awareness and English will be asked, which will be of 75 marks each. The final merit list for the post of MTS will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in this session. That is, merit will be obtained on the basis of 150 marks of Session-2. There will be negative marking in Session-2. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The computer-based exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs).
