75 Percent Compulsory Attendance for Class 10th and 12th Board Exams, Career News

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in an official notice reminded the principals of CBSE affiliated schools that all schools must comply with Rules 13 and 14 of the CBSE Examinations Regulations regarding attendance of students in Classes 10 and 12. board exams. They must be strictly followed.

As per the board rules, a minimum attendance of 75% is mandatory for students to be eligible to appear for the board exams.

CBSE said in the notification: “The Board provides 25% relaxation only in cases of medical emergency, participation in national or international sporting events and other serious reasons, provided the required documents are submitted.

Schools must inform students and parents about the attendance requirement and the possible consequences if it is not followed. The Board also informed that if at the time of surprise inspection of schools by CBSE it is observed that students are absent without proper leave records, they will be considered not attending schools regularly, CBSE will not send them to the Board. You will be allowed to appear for the exams.

Along with the instructions, CBSE has listed the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for reduction of attendees and a proforma to be used in that case, for condonation.
