When will JEE Main and NEET exams be held, latest update on schedule and career news?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the exam schedule for JEE Main 2025 on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to sources, the first session of JEE Main 2025 will be held in the last week of January. Guidance has been sought from the Ministry of Education on the date. The exam schedule was prepared by NTA and sent to the education department. Whereas NEET UG is possible to organize on May 4, 2025. If the official is to be believed, the date will be announced after October 21, in which the official exam schedule will also be there.

The program will also provide candidates with necessary details including exam deadlines, registration process, eligibility criteria and application fee structure. Important information will also be provided regarding the documents required for registration, guidelines for completing the application form, instructions for uploading photograph and signature, and the application fee payment process. For the past few years, the main joint entrance exam has been held with a duration of three hours. JEE Main Paper-1 (for Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology), Paper 2-A (for Bachelor of Architecture) and Paper 2B (for Bachelor of Planning) are of three hours duration each. However, candidates who choose to take both Exam 2A and 2B will be allotted three hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam.

Pattern change this time

As per JEE Main pattern, NTA has removed optional questions in Section B of all subjects of JEE Main 2025. This change is applicable to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) papers as well as Paper -2 Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Bachelor of Planning (B. Planning).

The CUET UG date may also be published in the NTA calendar.
