GATE Registration 2025: The registration window for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) will open tomorrow, 28th August 2024. Candidates can register for GATE 2025 till 7th October 2024 by paying a late fee.
GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on 1, 2, 15 and 16 February 2025. The exam will be conducted in two shifts.
Students are given 3 hours for the GATE exam. In the exam, students will be asked questions from General Aptitude and the subject chosen by them. The questions from the subject chosen by the student will be asked in different types like Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
Negative marking will also be given for incorrect answers in the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) section. For every incorrect answer to a 1-mark MCQ question, one-third of the marks will be deducted. For every 2-mark MCQ question that has been incorrectly answered, two-thirds of the marks will be deducted. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers to Multiple Choice Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
The GATE exam will be conducted in English only. The total marks for each GATE paper will be 100. The General Aptitude Test will carry 15 marks for all papers. The remaining 85 marks will be for the subject chosen by the student.
As per the institute rules, a student can only appear for the exam in two subjects. Apart from this, a student can only fill one application form. The student will also have to fill the information of other papers in the same application form. As per the official information, if a student has filled multiple application forms, only one will be selected. All other application forms will be rejected and the fees will not be refunded either.
