UGC NET Exam Postponed to 2024: NTA i.e. the National Testing Agency has changed the schedule of UGC NET exam which will be held between August 21 and September 4. The NTA has postponed the UGC NET exam which is scheduled to be held on August 26 due to the Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival. The exam which was to be held on August 26 will now be held on August 27. The agency has issued a notice in this regard on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. There has been no change in other exam dates. Let us tell you that among the various papers held on August 26, there was also a Hindi and Philosophy paper for which a large number of candidates appeared. The city-wise exam sheet of UGC NET exam has been released. Admit cards will also be issued soon.

The UGC NET exam will be conducted in CBT mode in two shifts from August 21 to September 4. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm. As per the subject schedule, the English paper will be held on August 21 in the first and second shifts. The History paper will be held on August 29 in both shifts. The Commerce paper will be held on September 3 in both shifts, the Political Science paper will be held on September 4 in both shifts. The Computer Science and Applications papers will be held on August 23 and the Public Administration papers will be held on August 22.

It is noteworthy that the UGC NET exam was scheduled to be held on June 18, 2024, but was cancelled over suspected paper leak. However, later in the CBI investigation, this evidence was found to be erroneous. Around 81 per cent of the over 11.21 lakh registered candidates appeared for the UGC-NET exam held on June 18 at 1,205 centres in 317 cities across the country.

UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for Junior Professor and Assistant Professor scholarships in universities and other higher educational institutions across the country. From now on, UGC NET score will also be accepted for admission to PhD.
