IIT JAM 2025: Joint Admission Test (JAM) is an entrance exam jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) at all levels in India for admission to Masters and Masters-PhD programmes. This time JAM is organized by IIT Delhi.
A total of seven exams are included in JAM-2025.
JAM-2025 includes a total of seven exams – Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics. Through the JAM score, students will pave the way for admission to postgraduate programmes in 22 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the country. Other institutes that have shared JAM results include Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, IISER Pune, etc. Through this test, students can get admission in MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc (Research), MSc-MTech dual degree, MSc-PhD joint dual degree, and MSc-PhD in the above-mentioned institutions.

A bachelor’s degree is required to appear for the Joint Admission Test (JAM). Candidates who are currently appearing for the final year graduation examination are also welcome to apply. Detailed information on eligibility based on course and subject can be found in the notification.
This is the exam pattern.
There are a total of 7 papers in JAM 2025. This is a computer-based online examination, in which university level questions will be asked. Three hours will be given to solve the questions. There will be three objective type questions in the exam: Multiple Choice Questions, Multiple Select Questions and Numerical Answer Type Questions. Papers from different subjects will be held in two sessions on 2nd February 2025. In the first session, papers on Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics will be presented and in the second session, papers on Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics will be presented.
