Shockingly, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission reduces posts in this recruitment from 300 to 180, Career News

The number of posts in the written examination for Ayurveda Nursing Staff (Female/Male) to be held on Sunday has been reduced from 300 to 180. On Friday, Controller of Examinations, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Harshdev Pandey, issued a statement in this regard. On September 4, 2023, the Commission had released a recruitment advertisement for 300 posts (252 female and 48 male). Meanwhile, on a petition filed before the Lucknow bench of the High Court, the advertisement was banned on October 11, 2023. Following this, the government sent a revised application for a total of 180 vacancies to the Commission on March 13 and June 20, awaiting selection for 180 posts. In such a situation, instead of the 300 posts announced earlier, a written examination for selection of 180 posts will be held on Sunday.

Of the 180 seats, 162 (64 Unreserved, 34 SC, 04 ST, 44 OBC, 16 EWS) are covered in the women’s category while 18 (08 Unreserved, 04 SC, 00 ST, 05 OBC, 01 EWS) are covered in the men’s category. On Sunday, the preliminary examination will be held in two shifts at the centres in Lucknow from 9 am to 12 noon and from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

The selected candidates will be paid a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 in pay grade 7.
