Seen at the production model of Mahindra’s super-luxury EV BE.05, it looks similar to the prototype

Mahindra will soon launch its next electric car, the BE.05, which was recently seen in the shooting of an ad film. The recently spotted Mahindra BE.05 looks very similar to its prototype model. Mahindra is believed to have taken a very aggressive stance towards electric vehicles.

Mahindra BE.05::Exterior

The production version of the Mahindra BE.05 retains most of the design elements of the concept car. These styling elements include C-shaped LED daytime running lights, gloss black body cladding, aero-spec two-tone alloy wheels, sloping roofline and LED light bar that connects the taillights across the center of the tailgate. In addition, it also receives the thick rear diffuser of the concept model.

However, the production incarnation of the Mahindra BE.05 features some design changes compared to the concept model. Some minor changes have been made in the form of traditional ORVMs, which have replaced the fancy cameras installed on the concept car. Additionally, flush door handles were reintroduced on the BE.05.

Mahindra BE.05:: Interior

Inside the cabin, the upcoming Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV will have a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with backlit BE badging. Additionally, there will be a dual digital display setup that will combine the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. It also features a gear lever, driving mode selector, front armrest, start/stop button and aircraft-inspired cup holders. Apart from this, a head-up display and level 2 ADAS suite can also be provided.

Mahindra BE.05: Powertrain

The upcoming electric SUV will be based on the automaker’s INGLO architecture, which is designed and developed for electric cars. The SUV is expected to have a 60 kWh battery combined with two electric motors driving one axle. Additionally, the SUV is expected to offer a range of around 500 kilometers on a single charge.
