Whenever a cotton saree is worn, the pleats near the legs at the bottom often do not sit properly and move here and there. Due to which the look does not look good.

Whenever you wear a saree, first establish the length by placing the upper pallu on the shoulder. A short and light pallu is fine for an open platter, whereas if you are making a platter on the shoulder, then it looks better to keep it a little longer.

After this, place the remaining saree for the waist pleats, make pleats and tuck it inside the petticoat.

Now sitting comfortably on a chair, adjust the pleats near the feet according to the pleats made at the top and secure them with a pin so that it doesn’t slide around.

Now, once again, remove the top plates and combine them with the bottom plates. Then press them down a little firmly with your hands. So that all the folds are fixed together.

Now simply tuck it inside the petticoat and secure it with the help of a pin. Pull out the pin at the bottom and remove it. The pleats made this way do not slide and give a perfect look.
