New vehicle launches in 2024: In the first half of 2024, the Indian automotive market witnessed multiple car launches across various segments. This momentum is anticipated to continue in the coming months, with over 10 new cars set to be launched before the end of the year.

Tata Curvv ICE (September 2)/Nexon CNG

Following the launch of the Tata Curvv EV, Tata Motors will launch the Curvv ICE (petrol/diesel) on September 2, 2024. After the Curvv ICE, Tata will bring in the Nexon CNG, featuring twin-cylinder technology and becoming India’s first CNG car with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine.

Hyundai Alcazar Updated – September

The facelifted 2024 Hyundai Alcazar will debut in September, although the exact date remains a secret. Minor updates to the exterior and interior are expected, engine options (a 160bhp 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 116bhp 1.5-litre diesel) will remain the same.

MG Windsor EV (September 11)/Gloster Facelift

MG is all set to launch the Windsor EV on September 11, 2024. It is expected to have two battery options: 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh. The updated MG Gloster will also arrive later in the year, with minor tweaks and cosmetic improvements, though it will still retain the current powertrain.

Kia EV9/New Carnival – October 3

Kia will launch its flagship EV9 electric SUV in India on October 3. The company will also reveal the next-generation Carnival. The Carnival will receive major updates but will continue to be powered by the 2.2L diesel engine, while the EV9 will arrive as a fully imported model with an expected price tag of around Rs 10 crore.

New Generation Maruti Dzire: October

The next-generation Maruti Dzire is expected to be launched between September and October 2024. It will share its platform, design and features with the recently launched 2024 Swift. It will be powered by the Z-series’ 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine.

New Generation Honda Amaze: December

The next-generation Honda Amaze is expected to debut between December 2024 and January 2025. The compact sedan will borrow design cues from Honda’s global lineup and could feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system.

Mahindra XUV e8

Mahindra will launch the XUV e8, an electric version of the XUV700, in December 2024. It will be the first Mahindra vehicle to use the brand’s INGLO scooter platform.
