Hyundai India It was recently announced that Alcazar The SUV, which is scheduled to be launched on September 9, now features multiple design changes to represent the brand’s modern design language and be in tune with the rest of the models. Once launched, the SUV will be a top-notch rival to the likes of Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 in the Indian market. Ahead of the launch, here are a few things you need to know about the upcoming model.

The changes to the Hyundai Alcazar’s design are evident in the form of an all-new front end. It now has a new headlamp complemented by the presence of H-shaped daytime running lights. It also has an LED light bar that runs across the width of the bonnet and connects the new daytime running lights. Many might say that this element looks a lot like the one the brand used for the outgoing Creta. The brand has also added a new grille and bumper. The rear end receives similar changes with new taillamps and bumpers.

To highlight the SUV’s off-road capabilities, the brand has also added faux skid plates at the front and rear. Additionally, it gets large wheel arches with black body cladding. To complement the overall aesthetics, the brand has added newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels and bridge-type roof rails.

Hyundai has not revealed the feature list of the Alcazar. The SUV is expected to have a similar feature list as the outgoing Creta. In other words, it is expected to get a fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and Level 2 ADAS features. 360-degree camera, IRVM with auto dimming, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. All these features will be split across different variants including. Also, the brand has added a new Robust Emerald Matte colour to the palette.

In other words, it will get a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The SUV will also get the option of a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
