Mercedes-Benz Planning to launch the new V214 E-Class LWB The BMW 5 Series LWB will be launched in the Indian market on October 9. It is to be noted that the German carmaker had introduced the sedan market earlier this month and is now all set to announce the pricing of its new model. Meanwhile, the deliveries of the car will begin in mid-October. The car, which will be introduced as a facelifted version of the outgoing model, will compete against rivals like the BMW 5 Series LWB in the domestic market.

The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be 13 mm taller and 14 mm longer than its predecessor. In addition, the car will have a 15 mm longer wheelbase. All this will be complemented by a new front end that seems to be inspired by the Mercedes-Benz EQ and offers a fresh appeal. The changes can be seen in the form of a large chrome grille and a large three-dimensional logo surrounded by the Benz stars.

To match the overall styling, the German manufacturer offers flush-mounted door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. Following the style of the front fascia, the rear end has new LED taillights with a three-arrow pattern. Imitating the front end, the rear bumper is covered in chrome.

The sedan’s opulent cabin comes with the brand’s Superscreen layout. This setup consists of a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the passenger, and a digital instrument cluster. The car also gets a Burmester 4D surround sound system. All of this comes in three interior colors. The car’s feature list also includes a recline feature for the rear seats with a recline angle varying between 26 and 36 degrees.

The power produced by this configuration is transmitted to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission with torque converter.
