24 thousand vacancies allocated in the second phase of DU, Career News

Delhi University has allotted over 24,000 seats in the second phase of admission. Students selected for admission will have to accept it before 5 pm on Tuesday. According to the university administration, additional seats have been allotted to commence the academic session on time.

The first phase of quota for undergraduate admissions in DU for the academic session 2024-25 was allotted recently. After the first phase was over, the DU administration on Sunday released the allotment for the second phase. According to the university administration, a total of 71,600 seats will be admitted. In the first phase, 65,775 seats have been admitted. Of them, 43,067 students have opted for promotion. Of them, 20,829 students have secured their seats by choosing the option. The DU administration has allotted 24,894 seats in the list released on Sunday. The DU administration said that additional seats have been allotted in the second phase so that the academic session can begin from August 29. As per Delhi University policy, students whose applications were rejected in the first phase due to invalid certificates or documents will be given a chance in the second phase under the UR category based on their merit, choice and availability of seats.

Online admission began for 917 seats in AUD on Sunday after Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University released the first list of allotments for 18 undergraduate programmes. An official release said that 887 undergraduate seats are available in the university. Of these, 917 have been allotted. More than 33,000 candidates have applied for admission for the academic session 2024-25.

Candidates who have been allotted seats must secure their admission by paying the fees by August 28. Following this, the university will release the second allotment list on August 29.

The university has announced that the admission session will begin from September 10. Students can get more information and latest updates on this on the AUD website https://aud.delhi.gov.in/.

Fees must be deposited before the 30th.

The DU administration said that students who have been allotted seats will have to accept them by 4.59 pm on August 27. They will have to deposit the fee by 4.59 pm on Friday, August 30. Only students who have deposited the fees will be eligible for the upgrade option in future rounds.

According to the DU administration, the allotment list for admission under different quotas will be released separately. According to DU, the allotment of performance-based programme and supernumerary quota of CW, ECA, sports and hall will be announced in the third round. This phase of the third round will be released soon. Applicants should keep an eye on the DU website for updated information in this regard.
