The physical examination of candidates for the Home Guard will be held block-wise from September 2 to 9 in Sitamarhi district of Bihar. For this purpose, vacancies were made in 2009 and 2011. In this year, the required qualification for candidates was a fifth-class pass and the age limit was set at minimum 19 years and maximum 40 years. Thus, candidates who apply at the age of 40 will compete at the age of 55. Now, many candidates are not qualified to take the physical examination which is held 15 years after submitting the application.

The age of most candidates is now between 40 and 50 years old.

According to sources, a large number of candidates between the ages of 25 and 35 had applied for the position of home guards at that time. In the reintegration process that is taking place after 15 years, the age of these applicants has increased to 40 to 50 years. In such a situation, the path to becoming a home guard is not easy for these applicants. Many applicants will not even participate in the reintegration process due to their increasing age.
