An earthquake hit the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy region in Russia
A 7.0 magnitude earthquake earthquake Hit near Russia Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskyaccording to the US Geological Survey. The quake struck 90 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 22:10 Moscow time on Saturday, with a depth of 49 km. Tremors were felt throughout the Kamchatka Peninsula. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a “tsunami “Threat” alert near the epicenter. Initially reported as a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, this was later revised to 7.0.
