In the meeting of the Minority Cell of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at Nitish Kumar and the NDA government. Tejashwi Yadav attacked Nitish Kumar on Saturday and said, our ‘uncle’ and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has betrayed the voters.

Uncle betrayed me again: Tejashwi

Referring to the circumstances that brought the Mahagathbandhan 2.0 to power in Bihar, Tejashwi said, “We gave them a second chance to oust the BJP from power in Bihar but they betrayed us again and went back to the BJP.

Tejashwi blamed Nitish Kumar for giving space to BJP and its allied organisations including RSS in the government. Tejashwi claimed that the size of BJP and RSS had shrunk during the 15 years of RJD rule in the state, but these organisations have flourished after Nitish came to power in Bihar.

Business deals have now replaced political ideology

Regarding the current political scenario in Bihar, Tejashwi alleged that business deals have already replaced ideology in political parties. He slammed the Nitish government for the frequent incidents of question paper leak and bridge collapse.

Tejashwi attacked Nitish for his indifference towards job recruitments in the state and said, ‘When I proposed the recruitment drive, he questioned where the money for the recruitment drive would come from. Nitish had earlier said that would his father give the money for it, but when the Mahagathbandhan was in power in the state, he had to distribute joining letters.’

Speaking at a meeting organised by the RJD minority cell, Tejashwi said, “There is not much time left now! Through the minority cell, we aspire to further strengthen the foundation of the RJD, it is a continuation of the ideology of people like Gandhi and Lohia,” Tejashwi said.

Attacking the NDA, Tejashwi said, ‘Minorities were targeted by the ruling government, farmers who opposed the policies were called Khalistanis and Muslims were called terrorists.’ Tejashwi said the Waqf Board is the target of the current NDA government.

He said, ‘For the first time under the leadership of PM Modi, a bill (Waqf amendment) has been sent to JPC. We never bowed down, even though agencies have targeted us.’ He described minorities as the strength of the party.
