Celine Dion On Saturday he reacted to Donald Trump and JD Vance using his hit song ‘My heart Will Go On’ At a rally in Montana, the singer’s management team clarified in a statement on social media that she does not endorse the use of the song. The Trump-Vance campaign has yet to respond to Dion’s reaction.

When Trump played the song from James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic, there was speculation it was a metaphor for the sinking of the Republican campaign.

In a statement released Saturday, Celine Dion’s team said: “Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., were made aware of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump/JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.”

“This use is in no way authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use… Seriously, THAT song?” posted her official account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

This is not the first time that Donald Trump’s campaign has faced criticism from an artist for using their music without permission. Rihanna, Axl Rose and The Rolling Stones have all criticised the Republican candidate. The latter has also threatened legal action. Neil Young has sued the former president for using his music.

Trump traveled to Montana for a rally Friday night aimed at drumming up support to unseat the state’s Democratic senator, but the former president’s plane first had to divert to an airport on the other side of the Rocky Mountains because of a mechanical problem, according to airport staff.
