Benares: There has been a change in the arrangements for darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Monday of this Sawan. These changes have been made due to the rising water level of the Ganga. On Monday, Lalita Ghat Ganga Gate, Silko Gate No. 4A and Saraswati Gate were closed. Along with this, the protocol will also stand cancelled. The special queue service will also not be available. Devotees will have entry from Gyanvapi Gate No. 4 and Nandu Feria Gate 4B.
Possibility of more public this Monday
The Kashi Vishwanath Dham temple administration has expressed the possibility of more crowds on Monday. It has asked devotees to wait patiently for their turn. Wherever you see a queue of visitors on the Godaulia-Maidagin road, maintain order by joining it. Not only this, a route diversion was also made in Kashi on Sawan Monday. This diversion came into effect from Saturday evening. Many roads will continue to remain no-go zones for vehicles.

There will also be a route diversion in Varanasi on Monday for darshan at Kashi Vishwanath temple. DCP Traffic Hridesh Kumar has advised to move only after seeing the route diversion. The area between Maidagin and Godaulia has been declared as no-vehicle zone. This arrangement will be applicable from 8 pm on Saturday night to 8 am on Tuesday. The no-vehicle zone system will remain in force for about 60 hours. Lanka to Front Ghat, Hotel Broadway Tiraha to Sonarpura, Madanpura to Godaulia, Gurubag Tiraha to Laksa, Rampura to Godaulia, Benia to Murga Gali Mod, Langra Hafiz Masjid to Ramapur and Godaulia, Piyari Chowki to Benia Tiraha, Suzabad to Bhadaunchungi Vishweshwar Ganj. There will be no-vehicle zone up to Maidagin.
