He said, Today I have received many reports from Commander-in-Chief Sirsky regarding our actions on the front line and to advance the war. I am grateful to every unit of the defense forces for ensuring this. Ukraine is proving that it can really restore justice and ensure the necessary pressure on the aggressor.
Zelensky has referred to the operation before, praising the military’s ability to achieve surprise and thanking them for capturing Russian soldiers for use in future negotiations. He also specifically mentioned last week’s developments.
Russia has increased attacks
Zelensky made special mention of Ukrainian actions in the northern Sumy (Ukraine) region, across the border from Russia’s Kursk region. At the same time, Russia has also increased bombings and other air strikes in Sumy, leading to large-scale evacuation of people.
