The most watched English language program, Wednesday Wednesday is back with its second season. The first season premiered on November 16, 2022, and reminded people of The Addams Family they watched as kids. Jenna Ortega fit perfectly into Wednesday’s mold and the series was an instant hit. Fans have been waiting a long time for its sequel as the pigtailed goth girl hopes to solve more mysteries.

The official page of Netflix announced in a post on microblogging platform, X, that the show is in production. The announcement revealed that the actors will be joining the sequel and that everything is camera-ready.
Netflix wrote in the caption of the post: “Wednesday’s Season 2 is NOW IN PRODUCTION. Please give a round of double shots to our cast, which now includes Christopher Lloyd, Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Billie Piper!” The show is set to premiere sometime in 2025 given that production and post-production activities have not yet wrapped up.
The streaming platform also shared a short clip from season 2 where Thing handed out scripts for the sequel at the doors of the trailer and also introduced Jonna Lumely, who was cast as the grandmother, Koimoi reported.
Percy Hynes White, who played the character of Xavier Thorpe, will not reprise his role. Netflix removed him from the series when he was accused of sexual offences, something he denied, The Independent reported.
The first season ended with Wednesday receiving a text from an unknown number who appeared to be her new stalker. Therefore, the plot could focus primarily on this new stalker. Wednesday was also noted to have a rocky relationship with her mother, Morticia Addams, and the upcoming season could explore this trope further. It will be interesting to see Wednesday explore her powers and what more secrets are waiting to be revealed in Jericho.
