Neeraj Chopra appointed as OMEGA brand ambassador
Indian javelin throw star Neeraj Choprawho won a silver medal in the Paris OlympicsHe has attracted attention not only for his athletic prowess but also for the luxury watch he sported during the final event. The 26-year-old athlete from Haryana finished second behind Pakistani Arshad Nadeem, but it was the watch he sported on his wrist that sparked curiosity among fans.
The discussion began on a Reddit dedicated to watch aficionados, where users speculated about the model and cost of Chopra’s watch. Many correctly identified the watch as an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m, with a staggering price tag of over ₹52 lakh. The identification was later confirmed by luxury retailer Kapoor Watch Co., which detailed the model’s details on its website.
Earlier this year, Chopra was hired as a sports ambassador for Swiss luxury brand Omega, which was also the official timekeeper of this year’s Paris Olympics.
In May, Chopra expressed his excitement when speaking about his role at the brand: “I am very excited to be part of such an iconic brand that plays such an important role in the timing of the Olympic Games. I look forward to a great partnership with OMEGA and the upcoming show in Paris.”
