Surbhi Chandana’s sea green lehenga for her wedding day is a standout addition to this season’s bridal style archives – definitely worth a shout out.

You are living under a rock if you don’t know that we are living in a renaissance era when it comes to Indian bridal wear. Modern brides don’t want to follow the usual style but love to experiment with colours, designs and patterns to achieve a unique touch. After all, it’s all about your touch. A good example is the growing move away from the traditional red and pink that brides used to wear. Now, we have a lot more colours to add to a bridal lehenga that not only goes well with the person’s personality but makes them stand out. Surbhi Chandna’s bridal look is a testament to the change in bridal trends. Her lehenga, too, is a perfect pick for brides who love to experiment, especially with colours.

Surbhi Chandna tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Karan Sharma earlier this year on March 2 at Jaipur’s Chomu Palace. As she walked down the aisle, we couldn’t take our eyes off her bridal ensemble, which came in a striking sea green color. Her unique choice of an ultra-chic outfit was an ode to modern brides and we bet they are taking notes.

Surbhi’s bridal lehenga is nothing like a regular one.

Surbhi’s lehenga, designed by Jigar and Nikita, featured heavy zardozi embroidery along with floral motifs incorporating sequin work. Looking closer, we notice a paisley design lavishly embellished with golden zari work on each panel, adding to the beauty and grandeur of the lehenga.

Surbhi opted for an unconventional look and paired her lehenga with a corset-style blouse, giving a modern twist to an otherwise traditional masterpiece. What made the blouse unique were the chunky pearls and its hemline that featured a dome shape made of beads. Also, the sweetheart neckline and full sleeves perfectly balanced the style factor and sophistication. To complete the outfit, Surbhi opted for two dupattas, one of which matched the sea green colour of her lehenga, while the other served as a veil in blush pink. The hemline of the dupatta was adorned with pearl embellishments.

For those unaware, Surbhi’s bridal masterpiece took a whopping 70 days and 1,680 hours of hard work. Her stylist Pranavi Chandna accessorized the dreamy outfit with a matching statement choker. The choker, studded with matching sea-green stones and pearls, matched the outfit while also enhancing the neckline of the blouse. A matching maang tika and dangling earrings added even more feminine grace and charm to her outfit. Surbhi ditched the usual choodas and stood out in a stack of white choodas and customized kaleeras.

Surbhi did not disappoint with her makeup, and looked flawless and striking in a minimal makeup look, featuring highlighter, contour, blushed cheeks, kohled eyes and lined brows. She did not put her hair up in a bun, following the usual trend. Instead, she opted for a bridal look with her hair down, which made her look phenomenal!

Surbhi Chandna’s bridal look is a perfect choice for those looking to set a new trend in bridal fashion. What do you think of her lehenga? Let us know in the comments section below!
