IISc Bengaluru also secured the second position in the ‘overall’ category, followed by IIT Bombay. However, IIT Delhi, which was ranked third in this category last year, has slipped to fourth place.
Eight IITs feature prominently in the top ten list, along with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
In the university rankings, IISc Bengaluru is followed by JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia. Among engineering colleges, IIT Madras has secured the top position for the ninth consecutive year. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay have retained their second and third positions, respectively. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirapalli is the only non-IIT institution to feature in the top ten for engineering.
In the field of management institutions, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has maintained its lead, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode. Notably, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi have also secured a spot in the top ten for management courses.
In the pharmacy category, Jamia Hamdard moved up to the top position, overtaking the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad, which dropped to second place. BITS Pilani remained in third place.
In the college category, Hindu College of Delhi University overtook Miranda House to take the top spot, while St Stephen’s College is ranked third.
In the law school rankings, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, retained its top position, followed by National Law University, Delhi, and NALSAR Law University, Hyderabad, which occupied the second and third positions respectively.
In architecture and planning, IIT Roorkee has been recognized as the best, followed by IIT Kharagpur and NIT Calicut.
Among medical colleges, AIIMS, New Delhi, has secured the top position, with PGIME, Chandigarh, and CMC Vellore occupying the second and third positions.
In the ranking of dental colleges, Saveetha Institute of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, and Manipal College of Dental Sciences retained the first and second positions respectively, while Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi, was ranked third.
In terms of research institutions, IISc Bengaluru has been ranked the best, followed by IIT Madras and IIT Delhi at the second and third spots.
In the newly introduced category for state-run universities, Anna University, Chennai, ranked first, followed by Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and Savitribai Phule University, Pune.
