Jharkhand Chief Executive K Ravi Kumar launches ‘Salute to BLO’ and ‘Election Test’ campaign, Rs 50 lakh reward for winner

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar launched the Salute to BLO and Election Quiz campaign at Nirvachan Sadan on Monday. On this occasion, a pamphlet containing statistical reports related to the Lok Sabha elections was released. Posters saluting BLO and election quiz were also released. The Chief Electoral Officer said that the Chief Electoral Office is organising a state-level election quiz to motivate youth for elections. Any voter in Jharkhand can participate by registering from August 16 to September 26. The online competition will be organised on September 29.

The winner will receive a prize of 50 thousand rupees.

Quiz competition organized by the Main Elections Office Jharkhand It is for general voters. Therefore, the staff associated with election work will not be eligible to participate in this quiz. This quiz will go online on September 29. After which, on October 5, an offline quiz competition will be organised in the capital Ranchi among the winning participants from all the constituencies. For the winners, the first prize is Rs 50,000, the second prize is Rs 30,000 and the third prize is Rs 20,000. The winner from each constituency will get Rs 10,000.

BLO’s excellent work will be honored

The Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer said that there is a plan to honour BLOs who have done excellent work in the elections. For this, the Salute to BLOs campaign is being started. He said that there are around 29,562 BLOs in the state and they play an important role in the electoral system of the state. The basic objective behind honouring BLOs is to motivate them. He said that three BLOs from each assembly constituency will be honoured. There is a plan to honour BLOs with outstanding performance on National Voters Day. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, OSD Geeta Choubey and RK Thakral from the state of India were present on this occasion.
