In Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party leader Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested at midnight on charges of attempting to rape a minor girl. On one hand, BJP is attacking the arrest of the SP leader, while on the other hand it is being said that what job was the girl going to ask for at the age of 15. While the accused Nawab Singh has termed the allegations against him as a conspiracy.
Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from the accused Nawab Singh. Kannauj SP district president Kaleem Khan said that Nawab Singh Yadav is not in Samajwadi Party at present. This is his personal matter and this incident has nothing to do with SP. On the other hand, party leader Juhi Singh said that when the girl was 15 years old, what kind of job was she looking for? Along with this, she has also demanded a narco test of the victim and the accused.
He said, “This is an allegation on an old leader of Samajwadi Party. I just heard SP’s byte, the girl was 15 years old so what kind of job was she looking for? He knew Nawab Singh for a long time. They talked on the phone for a long time in the morning. 112 number is also dialed suddenly at night, so if the girl has been molested, then the girl should get justice otherwise we demand a narco test. We also demand solid proof before making a real allegation on anyone. Justice has to be done to everyone…”
Amit Malviya surrounded SP
Earlier, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya had surrounded SP and said that after Ayodhya, now a SP leader has been arrested in Kannauj for attempting to rape a minor. During the SP government, the accused Nawab Singh Yadav was called mini CM. Nawab Singh Yadav is known as Dimple Yadav’s right hand and MP representative in Kannauj. Will Akhilesh Yadav still demand a DNA test?
What did the police say?
Police said that late on Sunday night, the manager of Chaudhary Chandan Singh Mahavidyalaya located in Kannauj Kotwali area and former SP block chief Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested on charges of attempting rape. SP Amit Kumar Anand said that on the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police registered a case under several sections including the POCSO Act and the statement of the minor has been recorded after getting her medical test done. He said that late on Sunday night, the police received a complaint that the accused tried to rape the girl. After this, the accused was taken into custody in an objectionable condition.
