UP Police Constable Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has issued a new notification regarding the OMR sheet, exam pattern and marking scheme of the UP Police Constable recruitment exam. The UP Police Recruitment Board has said that only a black or blue pen should be used to fill the OMR sheet during the exam. The board has given examples on its website on how to fill the exam centre code, roll number and question booklet number on the OMR sheet. It is not necessary to fill the question booklet series code on the OMR answer sheet. It is also said that one should not try to erase or fill in the circles. More than one answer to any question will be considered as wrong answer. In the question paper, except for general Hindi, all the questions from other subjects will be in Hindi and English. If there is any confusion then only the question written in English language will be valid.
The UP Police Recruitment Board has said that since the exam will be conducted in different shifts, there will be normalisation of marks. In case any question in the question paper is incorrect or all the answer options of the question are not suitable, such questions will be cancelled and the distribution of marks for such cancelled questions will be as per the formula – Correct Answer*Marks allotted/Number of correct questions. The board has also said that the syllabus is indicative in nature and no appeals or objections on matters relating to it will be entertained after the exam.
The exam will be worth 300 points and will include 150 questions. Two points will be awarded for a correct answer and half a point will be deducted for an incorrect answer. The exam will last 2 hours.
UP City Police Constable Recruitment Exam and Admit Card coming soon
UP Police Recruitment Exam will be held at 1174 centres in 67 districts. UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam will be held on 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st August in two shifts every day from 10 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 5 pm. This means that this recruitment exam will be held in a total of 10 shifts. Through this exam, 60244 UP Police Constable posts will be recruited. After the arrival of the shift schedule details, now the candidates are waiting for their admit card and exam city details. This time also, there are high chances to get the exam city details of the candidates before the UP Police Constable Admit Card. This time, the details of the city and exam date may be released around 15th August. The admit cards will probably be released three to four days before the exam. The exact address of the candidates’ examination centre will be known on the admit card. Candidates should not confuse the city information slip with the admit card. The information slip will be a pre-admission card. Candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth.
You will need to download two copies of the admission card.
This time, the highway bus service will be free of cost to reach the centre for the UP Police Recruitment Examination. Candidates travelling by bus will have to download two additional copies of their admit card and hand over one copy to the bus operator for travelling to the examination centre district and the other copy to the bus operator for travelling to their district after the examination. Hence, two additional copies of the admit card will need to be taken separately.
