Air India Express introduces six new daily direct flights, Guwahati-Jaipur route gets its first

Air India Express on Monday added six new daily direct flights, including three from Chennai and two from Kolkata. The budget carrier also introduced the first direct flight on the Guwahati-Jaipur sector.

The new flights, launched on Monday, August 12, operate on Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata-Varanasi, Kolkata-Guwahati and Guwahati-Jaipur routes, the airline said in a statement.

Five of these routes are new to its growing network, the statement added. The recently introduced Guwahati-Jaipur flight is an exclusive route for the airline.

To meet the growing demand on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram route, which was previously operated with two weekly flights, Indian Air Express has added an additional daily service, bringing the total to nine weekly flights.

Indian Air ExpressA subsidiary of Air India and part of the Tata Group, the airline currently operates over 380 daily flights connecting 32 domestic and 15 international airports. The airline has a fleet of 82 aircraft, including 54 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s.

The airline connects the capital of Tamil Nadu directly to 10 destinations – Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram domestically and to Dammam, Kuwait and Singapore internationally. Apart from this, it also offers single-stop connectivity to 24 destinations, both domestic and international.

  1. From/to Bhubaneswar

It provides direct connectivity from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. It has 26 routes with stopovers to many other destinations.

  1. From/to Bagdogra

Indian Air Express It connects Bagdogra to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. It also offers access to 26 stopover destinations (both domestic and international).

  1. From/to Kolkata

Kolkata is the airline’s third major hub. From here, it operates 124 weekly flights to a total of 34 destinations, including 12 direct domestic destinations as well as several single-stop destinations.

  1. From/to Thiruvananthapuram

The airline offers a total of 12 direct flights connecting Thiruvananthapuram to domestic and international destinations. It also connects the city to 23 destinations with stopovers.

  1. From/to Guwahati

The airline connects the city of Guwahati in Assam to eight domestic destinations, along with 23 single-stop destinations (both domestic and international).

  1. From/to Varanasi

Indian Air Express It has 42 weekly departures from this city in Uttar Pradesh and connects it directly to three domestic destinations and one international destination.

  1. From/to Jaipur

The airline offers nine direct flights connecting Jaipur to various domestic destinations and one international destination. It also has 24 stopover destinations from here (both domestic and international).
