The accused had entered the hospital’s seminar room through the back door.

After this, Sanjay Roy came to the seminar room from the back side and first brutally murdered the girl and then raped her. Most importantly, this accused was neither a hospital staff nor a relative of any patient. He used to work as a civic volunteer for the Kolkata Police.
The defendant was a civic volunteer at the hospital.
Whenever a policeman was admitted to this medical college, he was present as an assistant to bring him his medicines and provide other help. But on the day this incident occurred, the accused had not come to the hospital to do any work. On that day, he came to the back of the hospital to drink alcohol and after drinking alcohol, he watched obscene videos on his mobile phone. Then the crime was committed.
