Three men arrested for printing and distributing fake Indian currency in Delhi

New Delhi: Three men were arrested on Tuesday for producing and supplying fake Indian currency notes in the Dwarka area of ​​southwest Delhi.

The accused have been identified as Anas Khan (20), Aman Kumar (25) and Vikas Kumar (24), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said.

The police also seized Rs 1.40 lakh in fake Rs 200 notes from the accused.

He said police received information on August 5 that Anas Khan would approach Dwarka Mor metro station to supply fake currency notes.

Following the warning, the police arrested him near the metro station.

When Khan was searched, 301 fake Rs 200 notes were found, Singh added.

An FIR was registered and an investigation was initiated. Khan told the police that he had come in contact with a person on social media and started supplying him with fake money.

On August 6, according to Khan’s statement, Vikas Kumar and Aman Kumar were stopped at Peeragarhi Metro station when they came to hand over the fake money. They were later arrested, Singh said.

Vikas Kumar had earlier been arrested in Haryana“It’s Hisar,” the police said.

They added that three mobile phones and equipment for printing fake Indian currency notes, including two printers, a laptop, a frame, a watermark and ink, were seized from Vikas Kumar’s house in DCM Colony.

An investigation is underway and other syndicate members are being sought, the official said.
