There is also a possibility of lightning strikes. The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory issuing an orange alert. An appeal has been issued to stay at a safe place in case of bad weather. It has been advised not to stop under a tree. Farmers have been asked to vacate the fields and wait for the weather to normalise.
Yellow alert issued for heavy rains
The Meteorological Department has said in its forecast that the weather pattern will also change on August 17. Heavy rainfall will be witnessed in the north-east of the state. A yellow alert has been issued in this regard.
