Burma Burma

Burma Burma celebrates its 10th anniversary with a spectacular new menu titled “The 10-Year Trail.” We had the chance to try it at one of the restaurant’s Mumbai locations and spent an afternoon of delicious discovery there. The menu pays homage to ingredients and culinary traditions from different regions of Burma, highlighting the diversity of flavors in Burmese cuisine. We started our meal with a comforting corn and mushroom soup called Sarbuthi, followed by vibrant salads. The spicy and tangy Siman Thoke featured chickpea tofu and raw papaya, while the steamed rice and tofu salad was enhanced with coriander, shallot oil, crispy garlic, and more. Among the main dishes, opt for the Monk’s Meal or Kho Poong with Pebok Chet. It has been inspired by the sustainable practices of the Bago monasteries.

Burma Burma is known for its wide selection of teas and non-alcoholic drinks, including several specialty drinks. From the anniversary menu, we highly recommend the Kan Lan Yay (sugar cane juice, raspberry puree, lime, nori salt) and the Durian Float (durian fruit with a mixture of durian banana milk, black grass jelly, and coconut cream). We were blown away by all the delicacies we tried during our meal. Check out this special menu while you still can.
