Kylian Mbappe’s staggering salary revealed, Real Madrid star eclipses Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s IPL wages

Kylian Mbappé‘s arrival at Real Madrid has been the subject of much talk ahead of next season. The French superstar signed this summer on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish giants and will be seen wearing the iconic white shirt in the upcoming season. The French football captain decided not to extend his stay in the French capital and accepted a pay cut to join Los Blancos.
Despite cutting his previous salary package, Mbappe can still earn a whopping Rp285 million per season, much more than what Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma win in the Indian Premier League.
If we make a rough estimate, Mbappe’s monthly salary would be around Rs 23.7 crore, Rs 79 lakh daily and a staggering Rs 5,486 in just one minute.
Both Virat and Rohit are the highest earners under the BCCI central contract and take home over Rs 70 crore annually. Both Indian players were also retained by their respective LPI Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians franchises. Virat’s IPL salary is around Rs 17 crore per season while Rohit gets a salary of Rs 16 crore.
These two stalwarts are believed to be some of the highest-paid players in cricket, but their combined wages proved to be paltry compared to Mbappe’s salary at Real Madrid. The French striker has also been handed the club’s No.9 shirt ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti will have a headache in terms of selection, with the likes of Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Endrick all fighting for places in the attacking trident. Mbappe had a quiet Euro 2024 and will be hoping to get off to a flying start from day one of the season.
