Team India’s home schedule has been revised: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made changes to its 2024-25 domestic season. During this period, the Indian team has to play series against Bangladesh and England at home. There have been some changes for both series.

The Indian team has to play a 2-match Test series and a 3-match T20 series against Bangladesh at home. The first Test will begin from September 19. Subsequently, the second Test will be held from September 27. Then, the first T20 match of the series between the two teams would be held in Dharamshala on October 6.

The international match will be held in Gwalior after 14 years

But the BCCI has changed the venue for this first match. Currently, renovation work is going on at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association dressing room, so the venue has been changed. Now this match will be played at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

After 14 years, an international match will be played at Gwalior. The last time an ODI match was played at this ground was between India and South Africa in 2010, in which Sachin Tendulkar scored a double century. Sachin then became the first cricketer in the world to score a double century in ODIs.

After Bangladesh, the Indian team will have to play the home series directly in January next year. Then the England team will come to India. A 5-match T20 series and a 3-match ODI series will be played between the two teams. The first will be the ODI series, which will begin on January 22. The BCCI has also made a major change in the schedule for the England series.

The venue was changed after an appeal by the Kolkata police

The board also changed the venue of the first and second T20 matches against England. The first T20 match of the series was to be held in Chennai on January 22. But now this match will be played in Kolkata. While the second T20 match was to be held in Kolkata on January 25, it will now be held in Chennai. However, the date of the match has not been changed.

Let us tell you that the change that has taken place in the England series has been made on the appeal of the Kolkata Police. The Kolkata Police say that the second T20 match will be held on January 25 when they will be busy preparing for the Republic Day. That is why the police have made this request to the board.
